School Improvement
Codsall Multi Academy Trust helps schools by ensuring the focus remains on Quality of Education and Curriculum Design. There are clear mechanisms within the Trust to support and manage operational delivery to a high level which underpins this. We work in partnership with Head Teachers, School Leaders and improvement partners to improve teaching and learning, ensuring children get a high quality educational experience.
We ensure that we are compliant and efficient through the strong management of business and operations, encompassing safeguarding, finance, human resources, estate management, and governance. This ensures that Head Teachers and School Leaders remain focused on their core business of Education.
Our Trust takes a balanced and proportionate approach to school improvement and school support. We understand the uniqueness of each school and that each school will need a slightly different offer or approach. Each school will have the capacity and capability to take on new initiatives at different rates and this is always factored into our decision making. At Codsall Multi Academy Trust we use evidence informed, research led strategies to help our schools improve. However, we adapt and shape these methods to fit each school’s unique needs. This means we are able to adjust our support to what each school specifically needs, ensuring our help is targeted and effective.
School Improvement
Within CMAT we continually seek to drive up the standards of teaching and learning within our schools. A high quality curriculum design spanning from EYFS to KS3, a focus on developing pedagogy and optimum climates for learning.
School improvement is underpinned by a commitment to continuous professional development, innovation and professional networking, both within the Trust and beyond. Robust systems for assessment and monitoring to ensure that every school and indeed pupil has their chance to thrive are integral to the model within CMAT. Metacognitive practices, peer to peer review and our spotlight initiatives ensure that staff are given opportunity to learn with and from one another in a culture that is safe and mutually respectful.
Operational Systems
We strive within CMAT for quality operational systems that focus on areas such as compliance, finance, health and safety and estate management. We are committed to ensuring that we have a reliable and consistent offer across Trust schools. In providing this we are then able to ensure that Head Teachers and School Leaders remain focused on educational matters. Within CMAT we are focused on creating a framework whereby school leaders have the assurance of stability and operational efficiency, allowing them to make a difference to the lives of children.
