Flu Vaccines for all CMAT Employees (16.09.24)

All CMAT employees are eligible for a free Flu Vaccine again this year. To take advantage of this employee benefit then please email hr@cmat.academy before 25/9/24.
Free NHS Vaccine
Certain groups of the population are eligible for a free flu vaccination from the NHS.  This includes those people with certain medical conditions, frontline NHS and social care staff. This year, the Government have rolled out the biggest national flu campaign ever and expanded the list of groups eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine to:
In England, the flu vaccine is offered free to frontline health or social care workers, and those who:
  • are 65 and over
  • have certain health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • are in long-stay residential care
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person
If you qualify for any of the above then you need not have a MAT funded vaccine as you will access one through the NHS schedule.
For those who do not fall into these groups, the Academy is providing access to a flu vaccination voucher scheme.
Headteachers have decided to offer a flu voucher to their staff who might not be eligible via the NHS, as part of their infection control procedures and to help protect those in the school community. Appointments for the jab should be booked outside of the school day.
Vouchers will then be sent to the Hub and are redeemable at local Pharmacies.  Locations where vouchers can be redeemed can be checked via this link

CMAT INSET Day 2024!

CMAT schools are excited to be building upon the work undertaken in their 2023 MAT INSET Day working with Robin Launder.  In November 4th the schools will come together once again as full staff teams to discuss and think about our unified approach to personal development and behaviour. This follows on from last year, where Robin Launder (The Behaviour Buddy) led a session around ‘Retrieval and Memory’ that supported all colleagues to recognise key strategies that can be implemented to help our pupils know more, remember more. This was supported by an afternoon of CMAT-led workshops and ‘Big Question’ sessions to engage colleagues in meaningful discussions professional knowledge sharing.
